Three things worth knowing
Files saved in 5.2.0 may not open fully in Bforartists or Blender 4.4.x and earlier. Keep a copy of important files before you switch.
Bring your settings and add-ons across in a few minutes. Your .blend files open as they are.
Most add-ons keep working. If one breaks, try an earlier Bforartists version, or test it in the latest Blender developer build.

Windows
Your system64-bit Windows 8.1 or newer.
The installer is not code-signed, so SmartScreen may warn you: choose More info › Run anyway. The zip and Store versions hold the same files.
macOS
macOS 11+ on Apple silicon, 10.15+ on Intel.
First launch: macOS blocks unsigned apps. Right-click › Open, allow it in Privacy & Security, or run xattr -cr on the app in Terminal.
Prefer Cmd shortcuts? Switch to the Bforartists-macOS keymap in Preferences.
Linux
Built on Rocky Linux 8, needs glibc 2.28 or newer.
Older system, or no glibc? Use the Flatpak.

The newest tools before they are finished, about a week behind Blender. Not documented: keep backups, and report what breaks. The splash shows the last official version; the folder name is the build date.
It gets the most fixes and features from Blender and is in line with the next release. If something is broken in an official release, there is a good chance it is already fixed here.
Zip only. No macOS build.
